Dalwhinnie Wines is a family owned vineyard established in 1976. It is one of Victoria's greatest wine estates, making wines that are regional highpoints. A little more isolated than most Pyrenees vineyards, Dalwhinnie nestles under the brow of a hill with spectacular views of the amphitheatre vineyard from the contemporary glass-walled tasting room.
Premium producers of Chardonnay, Shiraz and Cabernet Sauvignon, the Cellar Door is open daily for tastings and sales and offers cheese and antipasto plates everyday.
This unique vineyard site is totally frost-free which enables the grapes to reach optimum ripeness and the vineyard is non-irrigated and operated on sustainable viticultural principles; the fruit is hand-picked and the vines are cane-pruned by hand.
